LSVT BIG Program for Parkinson’s
This program is designed to meet the needs of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease by using large amplitude-based exercises for re-education of the sensorimotor system. LSVT was developed in 1987 using larger movements to recalibrate the brain’s perception of movement size which reduces with Parkinson’s Disease.
What to expect with the LSVT BIG Program.
As the brain begins to recalibrate the size of movement, the patient is better able to move with more “normal” movements. Once the program is completed, the patient is provided with an ongoing home exercise program. With diligence, patients see an improvement in the quality of movement.
Ongoing studies consistently show the positive effect of exercise on slowing the progression of Parkinson’s Disease.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for Men and Women
Many individuals in the United States are struggling with pelvic floor dysfunction, yet the majority remain unaware and untreated.
Astonishingly, statistics show that 1 out of every 5 Americans, regardless of age, will experience some form of pelvic floor dysfunction at some point in their lives. A staggering 25 million Americans suffer from urinary incontinence, which is the involuntary loss of urine.
It’s important to note that pelvic floor dysfunction is not exclusive to women; men and children can also be affected. Pelvic floor dysfunction encompasses a wide range of issues that arise when the muscles within the pelvic floor are weak, tight or if there is any impairment within the sacroiliac joint, low back, coccyx and/or hip joint.
This condition may lead to increased or decreased sensitivity and irritation within the tissues surrounding the pelvic organs, resulting in pelvic pain. Unfortunately, determining the root cause of this pain can often prove challenging.
If you’re wondering whether you require pelvic floor physical therapy assistance, allow Aquacare’s team of dedicated specialists to provide you with the support needed for finding relief from your pelvic pain or eliminating any concerns related to urine leakage. Don’t hesitate to reach out!

Peripheral Neuropathy
Peripheral neuropathy is that tingling sensation or numbness you feel in your hands or feet. This sensation can be caused by diabetes, poor blood flow, injuries, or medication.
Aquacare’s expert physical therapy team in Berlin, Maryland, can help treat peripheral neuropathy using Rebuilder electrical stimulation. This treatment uses biofeedback and electrical stimulation to encourage increased blood flow, which can lessen or even eliminate numbness.
Rebuilder is used for:
- Chronic pain
- Post surgical pain
- Increase bloodflow
- Muscle re-education
- Maintaining or improving range of motion
Lymphedema Therapy
Lymphedema is a chronic swelling that can be caused by:
- Injury
- Radiation or chemotherapy, treatment for cancer
- Damage to lymph nodes
- Genetic causes
When these causes happen, lymph fluid which is normally circulated throughout the body begins to build up in the tissue under your skin leading to painful swelling and discomfort.
While there is no cure for lymphedema, it can be managed with specialized treatment, like the lymphedema management program offered at our Easton, Maryland physical therapy office.

Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Golf, pickleball, tennis, racquetball, and gardening are all activities we love to enjoy. They bring us joy and camaraderie – building a sense of community among our friends and peers.
However, these sports can also lead to injuries, especially when you start too quickly, forget to stretch, or play too hard or too long.
If you are experiencing pain of any kind that is keeping you from your favorite sport or activity, physical therapy can help. Experience one-on-one, hour-long physical therapy sessions in our fully equipped gym or try water therapy in our aquatic center.
Our Easton physical therapy teams will be happy to work with you and get you back to enjoying life again.
In addition to providing physical therapy, our team can also help you learn about your body and how the muscles support your mobility.
