Aquacare team member hosts food-raiser for Delaware Humane
Christine Dickinson, an Aquacare team member at the Lewes – Route 24 location worked with her podcast partner and gym friend, Doug Roach, to raise food and funds for the Humane Animal Partners of Rehoboth Beach. They both donated pounds of animal food to equal the pounds each of them has lost – a total of 370 pounds. They invited the community to donate as well.
They managed to raise a total of about 1,200 pounds of food.
In addition, they partnered with a community sports league, Outloud Sports, to host the first Turkey Toss, a cornhole tournament, which also raised funds to purchase animal food.
The top three teams enjoyed post-Thanksgiving bragging rights. They plan to make the Turkey Toss an annual event on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Christine and Doug’s podcast is called The Art of Losing Your But, a show featuring two friends trying to help others to lose weight and not feel alone.
The Art of Losing Your But can be found on Google Podcasts and Spotify.
