Sara Carpenter, DPT: Aquacare Physical Therapy Specialist


Sara Carpenter received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas in 1996 and completed a transitional Doctorate program in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2014 from Evidence in Motion. Due to her husband’s military career, she has worked in a variety of clinical orthopedic settings in several states to include North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, Idaho and now Maryland. In the 21 years that she has been practicing, she has seen profound changes in treatment philosophy for different orthopedic problems and takes pride in keeping current with the latest orthopedic manual therapy techniques to benefit her patients and return them to their normal, independent lifestyle. Sara takes a functional movement based approach in order to give her patients the most optimal results and meet their goals to maintain a functional lifestyle. Sara’s clinical interests include treatment of a variety of sports medicine and orthopedic injuries, including athletes of all ages and skill levels, injury prevention and recovery following operative procedures. In her free time, Sara enjoys photography, snow shoeing, skiing, hiking and yoga, along with and spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.
