Paulina Chanel Codera is a Physical Therapist specializing in Women’s health and aquatic-based treatment at AquaCare Physical therapy in Salisbury, MD and Millsboro, DE offices. Paulina integrates her knowledge of pelvic floor with other orthopedic injuries related to the hip and low back in order to provide a comprehensive plan of care. She also treats patients with Temporomandibular Pain related to cervical and scapular deficits, assisting with their postural control and modifications to their work space and environment. She believes knowledge is power and provides unique educational instructions tailored to her patients to ensure carry over and prevent further injuries.
Paulina completed four clinical rotations while receiving her doctoral training which included, orthopedic, sub-acute rehabilitation, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. As the types of diagnoses she treats are diverse, she is able to use this broad knowledge base with her patients. During her college career, Paulina also participated in Ithaca College’s pro-bono land and aquatic therapy clinic, allowing her to acquire hands-on aquatic therapy techniques for the orthopedic and neurological patients.
Paulina received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She is certified in treating patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions from Aquatic Therapy University. She is trained by Herman-Wallace to serve and treat patients with pelvic floor disabilities such as urinary incontinence and pelvic pain.
