Melissa Bateman, PTA


Melissa Bateman has been a licensed PTA since 2015, graduating from the accredited CACHE (Chesapeake Area Consortium of Higher Education) PTA program at Anne Arundel Community College. Melissa is also a Towson University Alumni with a Bachelors of Exercise Science degree.
Her passion for Physical therapy began while learning about health and fitness in college and learning about physical therapy after her grandmother was briefly a patient at a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
Melissa has a wide range of experience in various settings including outpatient orthopedic, home health and skilled nursing facilities. Her passions include balance training and fall prevention, neuromuscular rehabilitation, as well as orthopedic and agility sport training for adults and the pediatric population.
Melissa Bateman holds a degree from the CACHE PTA program at Anne Arundel Community College, where she received comprehensive training in physical therapy practices.
This program is recognized for its rigorous curriculum, equipping students with essential skills in patient care, rehabilitation techniques, and therapeutic modalities, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for real-world challenges in physical therapy.
Since becoming a licensed PTA in 2015, Melissa has accumulated valuable experience in various clinical settings, enhancing her expertise in patient rehabilitation.
Her hands-on experience includes working with diverse patient populations, allowing her to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs, particularly in balance training and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
Melissa specializes in balance training, fall prevention, and neuromuscular rehabilitation, focusing on improving patients' mobility and overall quality of life.
