Philosophy of Care and Areas of Interest: Following through with each patient’s plan of care while utilizing my continuing education and manual skills to maximize their recovery and rehabilitation process. I pride myself in providing patients with a positive and educational environment to assist them in healing and being able to self-manage symptoms. I enjoy working in an aquatic environment, hands on therapy, pediatrics, vestibular rehabilitation, lymphedema management, general orthopedics and geriatrics.
Training- I graduated magna cum laude from Delaware Technical and Community College with an Associates in Applied Health and obtained by MD and DE PTA license in 2014. I have taken several Great Lakes courses including Myofascial Release, Functional Strength, Treatment of Common Extremities, The Foot and Ankles, The Lumbar Complex, Cervical, Thoracic and Rib Mobilizations, The Basics of SI Mobilization and Functional Anatomy. I have had several aquatic courses through The Aquatic Therapy Institute AND Aquatic University. I am trained in Lymphedema Management of the Upper and Lower quadrants, in rehabbing and preventing injuries of the young athlete, and balance and vestibular training. I am also a credentialed clinical instructor.
Your Vision: I plan to continue my career as a PTA with AquaCare and enhance my skills with the most recent and up to date technology and research based skills. To serve my community and the physical therapy profession in hopes of bringing more awareness to our profession and to progress rehabilitation ability.
