Jean Marie Phillips, PT, DPT, RYT
Jean Marie Phillips, PT, DPT, RYT, is a licensed physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor and orthopedic rehabilitation at Aquacare – Annapolis. Jeanie graduated from Touro University in Long Island, N.Y. where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She began her career at Advanced SPORTS in Queens N.Y. until she moved to Maryland where she spent two years developing the pelvic floor rehab program in the region for Pivot PT. She is a Head Coach and Yoga Instructor at Grounded CrossFit and a Health Educator for Millennium Health and Fitness where she develops content and hosts seminars for clients on health and wellness.
As a Herman and Wallace trained PT (level 1, 2A, 2B and capstone), a Julie Wiebe Pro, and complex pelvic pain expert, she enjoys using an integrated approach in helping patients overcome pelvic floor dysfunction. She has taken extensive coursework with Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars, trained in the Mulligan Method, and is certified in HawkGrips and Rockblades instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. Her education in nutrition and trauma informed yoga make her uniquely qualified to help patients implement meaningful lifestyle changes to manage diagnoses.
In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, trying new recipes, and curling up with a good book.
