Dr. Carla Rivera, DPT: Leading Physical Therapist at Aquacare


Dr. Carla Rivera, DPT, is a physical therapist and practitioner at Fitness Forum. A graduate of Old Dominion, Carla began developing her career with a degree in exercise science. Carla then commissioned with the United States Army earning her DPT from Baylor University via the Army Baylor Program. Carla has been stationed all over the United States practicing physical therapy in both garrison and austere environments. Carla retired from the Army as a Major having worked in in-patient settings such as Walter Reed Medical Center and Fort Sam Houston where she had the pleasure of assisting with both amputees and burn victims.
With over ten years of experience, Dr. Carla Rivera is certified in pelvic floor therapy as well as dry needling and myofascial decompression (cupping). Carla has been recognized for her manual physical therapy skills (manipulation/ mobilizations) and credits taking an active, hand-on approach to such.
Carla is a compassionate provider and always willing to think outside the box to assist patients. Carla believes strongly in the importance of continuing education and mentorship of new clinicians and students alike to continue to serve the local community with the highest quality of care possible.
