ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: ELLIOT “LANGDON” ANDERSON of Sts. Peter & Paul High School, Easton, MD!
Langdon is a high school lacrosse player known for helping his team by forcing turnovers, snatching up loose balls, and assisting goals. He also plays soccer and golf.
From Langdon: “I came to Aquacare because I was playing soccer and sprained my ankle badly. I want to play lacrosse in college and this fall is really important for my recruiting process. So, I came in the hopes of being able to play at my full potential again. Aquacare not only helped me with getting healthy, but also helped me have my ankle be more flexible and moveable than before. Aquacare was such a great help and was very important in my healing process.”
Way to go, Langdon!
Ava Twilley – Back on the Mound with Help from Aquacare
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Ava Twilley, competitive softball pitcher from Mardela High School!
Ava was referred to Aquacare after an injury that could have happened to anyone – tripping over the family cat! (The cat is fine). She had lower back pain that was worsening over several weeks. From Kristen Jackson, Ava’s physical therapist with Aquacare Athletics: “During her first several sessions, we had to do some realignment of her pelvis using Muscle Energy Techniques until her muscles were re-educated to be able to hold the alignment on their own. This was reinforced with a progressive program of advanced mobility, core strengthening and stability exercises that were tailored to her needs as a pitcher; working on both anti-rotational strength as well as exercises that balance out both sides of her body. Ava was dedicated to her rehab and was successful with her home exercises, which played a big part in her getting back to softball quickly and knowing how to take care of her back health. It was an honor to work with such a talented athlete and play even a small role in her journey.”
Congrats Ava!

Go, Lilly!

Tyler Hunt – Under the Friday Night Lights Thanks to Aquacare
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: TYLER HUNT, SALISBURY:
“I have been playing baseball for 12 years and football for three [years]. Aquacare has helped me strengthen my shoulder and recover for injury as I prepare to play in college.”
Athlete of the Week – Jaden Davis of Salisbury University
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Jaden Davis, Salisbury University. At a recent game, Jaden had 3 rushes for 34 yards and a rushing touchdown, as well as a catch for 7 yards. He has been working with Aquacare Athletics and Connor Drislane to heal from injury and improve his strength and game.
From Jaden: “I can’t express enough gratitude for Dr. Drislane at Aquacare! After tearing my PCL last season, I was worried I might never get back to my best. Thanks to Dr. Drislane’s expert guidance, I’m not only back on the field, but I’m also thriving!
As captain of my team, I’m proud to say we’re currently 4-0, and it was incredible to have Dr. Drislane at our last game. Scoring a touchdown felt amazing, and I know I owe a huge part of my recovery and performance to his dedication and support.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and passionate trainer who truly cares about your progress, I can’t recommend Dr. Drislane enough. He helped me turn my setbacks into comebacks!”
Athlete of the Week – Gabi Konlian, Feet of Fire Dance Academy
Gabi Konlian, a competitive dancer with @fofdance! Gabi says, “I have been dancing for 14 years, and I started competing at the age of nine. As a competitive dancer, I attend regional competitions, conventions, and competed a solo at nationals last summer.
In preparation for college, I have been attending numerous dance clinics at various universities such as Tribe 99, University of Miami, Wake Forest, and Ohio State. My goal is to dance on a D1 collegiate dance team that competes as well as does sideline performances. Dance medicine has been a transformative factor in my dancing. Not only has my strength, stability, and stamina improved, but I also love that I am able to focus on specific skills. My PT will break down each skill, whether it’s a 540 jump or a leg hold turn, and figure out exactly what is needed to improve. I have been in the dance medicine program for almost a year and I couldn’t be happier with how far I’ve come!”
Athlete of the Week – Luis Hicks of Indian River High School
In the world of high school sports, injuries can be a game-changer. For Luis Hicks, a promising three-sport athlete at Indian River High School, a meniscus tear during wrestling season threatened to sideline his athletic career. However, thanks to a dedicated physical therapy program at Aquacare, Hicks is back on the football field, stronger than ever.
Sussex Tech running back Isaiah Jones hurt his back during the spring track season. He spent several months working with Aquacare Athletics and their partner, OutTrain Performance to rehabilitate. Now he’s back under the Friday night lights.
