Karen Maize has 23 years of experience as a physical therapy assistant. Her areas of interest include Parkinson’s, neurological therapy, outpatient orthopedics, manual therapy, and lower quarter biomechanics. She earned her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. From there, Karen earned her associate’s degree as a physical therapy assistant from Anne Arundel Community College. She now is an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College and teaches Functional Anatomy and other various program requirements. Being a certified clinician for the last seven years, she has worked to expand the LSVT BIG program. She works closely with the local Parkinson’s support groups. In her free time, Karen is a big Ravens and Orioles fan. She also enjoys the outdoors and loves fly fishing, kayaking, and hiking.
