Amy Cyphers, PTA – Geriatric Rehabilitation Specialist


Amy Cyphers, PTA, has always had a passion for helping people improve their quality of life and achieve maximum function. She was a college athlete and completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology and Computer Science before spending five years living in Spain and two years in Mexico. She moved back to New Jersey to raise her children and worked as a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 12 years before going back to school to become a physical therapist assistant.
For the past eight years Amy has worked as a licensed PTA in a variety of outpatient settings in New Jersey, Florida, and now in Annapolis, Maryland.
Although she enjoys working with patients of all ages, Amy particularly enjoys working with the geriatric population and helping them regain/maintain independence. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with family, hiking with her dog, biking, and playing pickleball.
Amy Cyphers holds a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting and is a licensed PTA, ensuring she meets the professional standards required for her role. Her education has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective rehabilitation services tailored to individual patient needs.
In addition to her degree, Amy has pursued various certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy, including geriatric care, which enhances her ability to assist older adults in regaining mobility and independence. These qualifications reflect her commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in patient care.
With eight years of experience working in diverse outpatient settings across New Jersey, Florida, and Maryland, Amy has developed a comprehensive skill set that allows her to address a wide range of patient needs. Her extensive background includes working with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions.
This varied experience has not only honed her technical skills but also deepened her understanding of the unique challenges faced by patients in different environments. Amy's adaptability and expertise make her a valuable asset to the Aquacare/Fitness Forum team, ensuring high-quality care for all patients.
