Megan Edwards is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Aquacare Physical Therapy in Millsboro, Delaware with 3 years of experience. She takes great pride in being a physical therapist assistant and focuses on educating patients of the importance on being more aware of how they are moving and controlling their bodies. This is to help reduce their pain, improve their function, and prevent further injury or problems. Being compliant with their care is a major factor that Megan stresses to her patients. She excels in communication with patients and explains their care in layman’s terms so that patents fully understand their treatment and why they are coming to therapy. Using evidenced-based practice, Megan continues to treat a wide variety of diagnoses including low back and cervical pain as well as orthopedic conditions of the foot/ankle, knee, hip, pelvis, upper extremity, and shoulder. Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Salisbury University in Maryland and earned her Applied Allied Health Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Delaware Technical College, Owens Campus in Georgetown, Delaware. She has taken several continuing education courses including Aquatic Therapy Techniques for Orthopedic/Neurological pathologies; Myofascial Release; and Kinesiology Taping for Stroke, Pain, and Posture; and Rotator Cuff Dysfunction. Megan has been an employee of Aquacare since 2007. She began working with company as a student and quickly progressed to acting as an exercise specialist. She is currently the acting clinical director of the Millsboro office. Megan’s vision: “I strive on helping patients learn the importance of and how to care for their bodies and their health. My passion for physical therapy drives me to actively pursue advanced education courses which will allow me to provide the best treatment for my patients.”
